What’s In? What’s Out? November 2nd

What’s In

Election Count Down

There are five more days to Election Day. Everyone is looking forward to Tuesday, if not for the results, then to end the tv commercials and advertisements. This has been one of the more negative election seasons and it is  a midterm election. Will Democrats take back the House and Senate in Washington? Or will the red states stay red? One thing we know does sure is that it will be a long day and night. As far as Rhode Island local races all the General Assembly candidates are up for election this year as well as state offices.

The Gubernatorial race has heated up and will continue to be the topic of discussion in all the news articles this week. Stay tuned, it will be an interesting week!

In the Arena

This week I had the pleasure of joining former Mayor Joe Paolino as a guest panelist on “ In the Arena” which will air Sunday at 7:00AM at ABC6.  Tune in for election predictions by Joe Paolino,Eva Mancuso, Ray Rickman and myself as we discuss Election 2018.

What’s Out

State House Cloud

There were more allegations of Sexual harassment have rocked the state house this week. Who, what and when seem to be the questions. Was the sexual harassment handled properly by Speaker Nicholas Mattiello? How long did he know? There are many sides to a story and many versions but one thing is clear. Sexual harassment does not belong in the State House or any other place of employment in this state. So, both women and men need to out the offenders and support the victims but the public needs to know the facts. And right now the facts are cloudy.  Looking forward to finding out the rest of the story.

Tragedy at the Synagogue

Our hearts and prayers are with the Jewish community as we see yet another act of violence. Eleven people were murdered for no reason at all by a madman.  The sadness and mourning continues as we grieve for all the victims and their families.

Gubernatorial Debate on Thursday night in channel 10

All I can say is that I never witnessed a debate like that. The screaming and yelling for one hour was so loud that at times I could not hear the responses to questions.

It was an extremely tense and contentious debate and there really is no need for it. Gene Valicenti must have needed a cocktail after that one.
