Matt Fecteau, a veteran and local leader, announced he has graduated from Harvard University.
Fecteau ran for Congress in 2014 opposing incumbent David Cicilline. Fecteau looks forward to working with national and local leaders to help create a government that works for all people.
Fecteau returned in July 2017 from his duty in the greater Middle East overseeing training operations, including those in Syria.
He is also an Iraq war veteran that was a member of the 82nd Airborne Division that spearheaded operations in Iraq.
“I am so proud to graduate from the finest institution in the world,” said Fecteau. “This is a lifelong dream and I could not have accomplished it without the love and support of my family, friends, and community members. I hope to use the skills I learned at Harvard University to make the world a better place.”
Fecteau looks forward to coming back to Rhode Island to work on issues that concern all members of our working class community. He has a number of potential job offers, but also may be activated back on military duty to serve his country around the world.
