The Rhode Island Film & TV Office announced that AMC’s new series, NOS4A2, is shooting throughout the state of Rhode Island. The supernatural, novel-based series stars Zachary Quinto of American Horror Story and the Star Trek remake.
Also attached to the project is executive producer Jami O’Brian (Fear the Walking Dead) who is the show runner. The novelist of the source material, Joe Hill, is the executive producer along with Tom Brady (not the one you’re thinking of) who’s known for his work on AMC’s Hell on Wheels. Joining them is the producer of the Soprano’s, Henry Bronchtein, who serves as the line producer.
“We are so happy that AMC has chosen to film a new series here in Rhode Island.” Governor Gina Raimondo stated in the press release, “Every time a production shoots here, we see a positive impact on our local businesses.”
This is a valid point because our state’s competitive tax credit program and scenic, historical settings have the potential to attract major film players, providing great opportunities for the local film industry workforce.
The executive producer of the Rhode Island Film & TV Office, Steven Feinberg, also expressed his excitement in the release: “We are extremely happy that AMC has decided to make television history while providing good jobs for many local artists and hard-working technicians from across Rhode Island.”
The entertainment industry’s premiere trade journal, Variety Magazine, reported on Thursday, September 13th that filming has already begun, so we expect to learn more about this new venture soon.
